Private Hire

The following Terms & Conditions must be confirmed with your online booking:

• Rhino Arena, Colwell accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or death of any person, animal or object caused by hiring the arena or accompanying a rider hiring the arena.

• The arena must be left as found.

• PLEASE PICK UP YOUR POO! Poo picking must be carried out throughout the duration of each session, not just at the end. If poo is found in the arena following your hire, we reserve the right to issue a charge for cleaning the damaged surface.

• Winter Hire: A £5 per hour surcharge will be added for use of flood lights.

• Correct hats to current safety are compulsory (BSI kite marked or PAS 01:1998)

• Body protectors are encouraged when jumping.

• Riders under 18 years of age MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.

• Riders must only jump fences that are within their own and their horse's capabilities and fitness.

• Riders, and anyone accompanying them, must show consideration for others using the facilities and livery/farm workers.

• The arena is based on a working farm. PLEASE be aware of large, moving machinery and keep tracks/entrances clear when parking vehicles.

• Anyone found riding dangerously will be asked to leave.

• If damage is caused to the property or equipment, you are unlikely to be charged, but you MUST report to enable repairs to be made and prevent further injury to others.

• Emergency contact numbers can be found at the entrance of the arena. 

• Please clean up your mess in the car park (rubbish, horse muck, loose hay etc). Please do not leave horses tied up to the horse box/trailer unattended and avoid hanging haynets outside of the horsebox.

• No dogs are permitted in or around the arena/car park.

• Opening hours: 7am - 9pm (last booking 8pm).

• Arena hire must be paid for before attending.

NO RIDER IS PERMITTED TO USE THE FACILITIES FOR JUMPING ON THEIR OWN

Riders 16+ must be accompanied at ALL TIMES by a responsible adult, either on foot or on a horse when jumping.

Cancellations:

​

We understand that cancellations can sometimes be inevitable - lame ponies, flat tyres and family dramas happen, so we are happy to be as considerate as possible where changes and cancellations are required. A full refund will be issued if cancellation is made more than 24 hours in advance. 50% of the arena hire will be refunded if cancellation is made 12-24 hours in advance. Unfortunately, there will be no refund for cancellations made less than 12 hours before your booking slot. If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us via email and we will arrange a refund where required. If the amendment is for the upcoming 24 hours, please contact Clare on 07778 990277.

Changes to your booking:

The above 12 and 24 hour policy also applies if you wish to make a change to your booking. If you would like to change your booking to a further date, we are very happy to assist with this providing you let us know more than 24 hours in advance. If you would like to add an extra horse/bring a friend, this is also possible if done in advance. Please drop us an email with your name, booking date & time and contact number and we will make an amendment to your booking and arrange a separate payment. Individual arena hire is £20 per hour, plus £5 surcharge per horse (max. 4 horses). If you need to move the date or time of your booking, please contact us via email. Bringing your own instructor:

​

We welcome all qualified coaches to the arena, providing they hold valid insurance.

​

• All instructors must be Fully Insured and hold a valid First Aid/Safeguarding Certificate

• Instructor/Organisation insurance policy documents must be submitted to us prior to attending.

• Opening hours: 7am - 9pm (last booking 8pm). 

• A small amount of seating is provided for spectators inside the arena.
